As a Marketing Lead at the Ryerson Entertainment Conference, I collaborated with two Co-Leads on social media management and content strategy, with the ultimate goal of establishing the organization as a year-round resource for students interested in the creative industries. Working in tandem with the creative team, we ideated multiple content campaigns that provided value to the brand's student audience. Through campaigns like #RECfromHome and #Freelance101 (pictured here) we were able to use our industry knowledge and a knowledge of our audience to tap into creative professional students’ current interests, and turn our platform into a year-round resource speaking on topics our community cares about. By engaging our audience and ensuring we grow a community, rather than just a following, we were about to drastically increase year-round engagement, and grow our following over 2x in under a year.
